Faith Inspired

Last week a friend of mine gave me some jewelry that she didn't wear anymore, for me to take apart and reuse all of the pieces: beads, charms, findings, etc. Included in this bag of fun, was a string of little wooden crosses of all sorts of colours. So since I had so many colourful paper beads to use, I thought I'd make a few pieces with these crosses. These were what I made:

This sweet pink one was the first I did...

Then got a little fancier with 2 strands and glass beads among the paper beads. The bracelet on the right has one cross on one strand, and 2 on the other, so no matter how it turns on your wrist, you're going to see at least one!

And lastly, these 2:
I used some beautiful jade glass beads in these, which I've been saving until now. I love how they look! And I also love the clasps on these ones. :)

I also finished a few other random pieces this week...

This 2-strand necklace with paper beads and wooden beads, and this great compass pendant!

And I had another custom order from a friend, who needed a bracelet for someone who loved owls, and another plain one with any kind of charm. So I came up with these:

They went over well! :D

All in all, it's been a busy week and I got A LOT accomplished! Hopefully next week will be just as productive!

Busy Day!

I have had a very busy day today working on making some new necklaces... as a result, I ended up completing 4 new ones! And I've still got beads ready for 2 more, which I'll hopefully get to do tomorrow. :) So I thought I'd share some quick pictures of the ones I got done today!

First, I made this turquoise and brown necklace. The paper beads all have turquoise colour in them, and then I used some wooden beads and a few turquoise beads among them. And of course, finished it off with my favourite owl pendant. :)

More fun colours and some wooden beads worked in there. It's got a bit of a second strand of beads too, which I always like to do if I've got enough beads!

Lots of reds in this one! Fun paper beads and some nice glass beads; and again with a bit of a second strand. This one's pretty funky!

This was my last one of the day. I've really liked making this style of necklace, and have had good reactions to them too. I did this one in purples, for something a bit different again. :)
I also did another one of this style the other day, in blues:

So overall, I've got quite a few nice additions ready for order!
Now, I'm going to go relax for the evening, and leave the rest of these beads until tomorrow!
Good night all!

Rainbow of Colours

I made a big batch of beads this past week, and some of them turned out so colourful! Each bead has lots of colour, and all together they're nice and bright and fun. I made this necklace with a turtle pendant using some of them:

I love it! Very summery and fun :)

I also made 2 new necklaces using metal bails I recently bought... one with chain and pendants, etc., and one with paper beads. They're both kind of neat:

I ended up selling this one within 10 hours of making it, so I'll be making more like this for sure!

Got some paper beads in there, along with glass beads and lots of different pendants!

I've got lots of colourful beads left, so I'll be making some more bright, cheery pieces this week I'm sure!

Lots of Bracelets!

I've recently made a few new styles of bracelets, all completely different from each other. I love the look of wearing lots of bracelets together, and on a regular day I usually wear at least 4 different bracelets on one arm. Here are a few that I particularly like wearing:

I made this one the other week, and love it paired with a hemp wrap bracelet I also made:

The hemp bracelet is made with 3 strands of braided hemp in 3 colours, and I worked in a few small glass and metal beads, as well as paper beads, and a few tiny charms.

And for a bit of colour, I made this to add to the collection:

Colourful paper beads with some glass beads in between, and a second strand of just tiny glass beads. Very fun, and matches great with the chain necklaces I posted previously. :)

I hope to have all of these different styles in my Etsy shop soon!

Chains

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while! I've been busy making jewelry still, and trying out some more new styles. I've been playing around with chain necklaces and making some layered pieces and doing some fun stuff with different beads, along with the paper beads. Stuff like this:

And I just bought some metal bails today to make some more like this... I'm sure I'll be updating with more pictures soon!
I also made this style of necklace this past week with paper beads and chain:

Last, but not least... my newest arrival for UC is my new business cards! People keep asking me where they can buy stuff, so now I can just hand them one of these!

Well, I'm off to finish up some more beads. I've got about 150 or so sitting here ready to glaze, so I've got lots to do today! Hopefully it won't be so long before I update again!
Have a great day!

Persuasion & Jane Eyre Jewelry

I made another few pieces of book page bead jewelry,  from Persuasion and Jane Eyre. I had special requests for bracelets using beads made from pages of those books, so while I was at it, I made a few extra things! The first is this Persuasion necklace:

And with some leftover Jane Eyre beads and some plain white beads from another project, I made this bracelet:

I used this kind of closure for something a bit different, and added a pearl as well; I like how it looks :)

These will both be in my etsy shop soon!

Leaves and Owls

I particularly love these new pieces... a necklace and a bracelet both in neutral colours, and strung along with some wooden beads. I kind of like the natural wood with the paper beads! :)

I put a second strand on the necklace, and really like how it looks!

Then with mostly wooden beads and a few left over paper beads from another necklace, I made this bracelet:

Seriously, isn't this the cutest owl pendant? I love it!

Keep your eye out for this new stuff in my etsy shop

Turtles and Fish

I've been working hard making lots of stuff with some new pendants I just got. I've been so looking forward to making some new things with these! So first I made this super cute necklace for my friend's daughter with a turtle pendant on it, which I absolutely love! I'm definitely going to be making myself a necklace with one of these turtle pendants because they're just so cute!

I also got some really nice fish pendants that I was excited to use, so I made these two bracelets so far:

I used some stones in between the beads just for something a little different. :)

And I did the second bracelet all paper beads again... back to the basics!
